Gimmick of love.
I never really cared too much for Valentine's cos if you look at the big picture, it's pretty damn lame, a complete waste of money and a sad excuse for some poor poor girlfriends or wives to finally get a valentine's fuck or at least a hint of love from their partners (applies to men too). As usual, I got shitloads of forwarded valentine's messages from unknown numbers or at least some who tried to make their mass messaging sound a little personal, but come on, I haven't spoken or seen them in years. In the midst of obsessive compulsive mass texting, I received ONE GOOD TEXT MESSAGE that was at least (although most probably forwarded) of a certain class and it got my attention, so I replied. Below's the message I got:
*A sparrow was in love with a white rose. One fine day, the sparrow proposed to the white rose. The rose replied, "I will love you forever." The sparrow then tore his body apart and slowly spread his blood on the white rose and she turned red and fell in love so deeply but then the sparrow was gone. This is love. Happy Valentine's Day.*
Although it sounded a little retarded at some parts in terms of language, I got the concept and somehow or rather, it metaphorically gave me a whiplash of impression. Maybe it's the fact that the rose was white before it turned red and I can somehow relate to the white rose and the blood. It would've been lovelier if it's a crow instead of a sparrow and I would have ended the story with the rose turning black and fading away. Lovely, how lovely.
I was asked by several people regarding my plans for today. I answered, "I'm gonna get the rest of my faulty car fixed, buy gym pants, paint or write (if I feel like it) and play computer games (if it's not too late)."
